Did I just say Saber ? A small package of loot arrived just before I left for Vancouver last month. These were more like an impulse purchase rather than a “very carefully planned” one. The lucky blogger to be blamed this time is no other than Zenical from zotaku.com . I tried looking for the post that she posted about bunch pre-orders for Saber -Fate Unlimited Codes- related items but could not find it ^^:; Oh I found the post about it. I pretty much bought every items that she put in her post.

This is a cushion cover of Saber Lily. She has a nice pose and her look is simply to my liking ^^.

The other side of the cushion cover has different pose/image of Saber Lily. Her pose/expression is not necessarily my type but it’s Saber Lily

I bought 2 cushion covers and the other cushion cover shows the original Saber. The magic circle on her background looks great.

The other side shows Saber Alter version. She has the usual pose as Saber Alter and her expression is obviously the ‘don’t mess with me’ type ^^. Too bad that they only show a bit of her sword.

The key chain/strap was not in Zenical’s post but I saw it when I went to Hobby Search page so I might as well pre-order since I could actually use it for my keys.

Now, the T-shirt has a similar pose with the first cushion cover above and the color quality is not as good as I expected it would be so I am slightly disappointed with this one but at least I have an additional cloth to wear at anime conventions ^^. More loots to come this month ^^.

Sorry for the lack update on my blog for the past month. I have a lot of things to write but can’t get my self to actually write it. Lack of motivation I guess and it also does not help when work and school consume my time. My fellow friends managed to convince to play World of Warcraft again since bunch of us already plays so there goes my spare time. Currently, lvl 35 priest at Crushridge Realm so if you play on the same server, let me know ^^. Do you ever want to have more than 24 hours per day ? I personally want to have 48 hours / day. 8-9 for work and the rest is for something else ^^;;.

Anyways, enough with my rambling and here comes my latest loot.

Saber Lily 1/7 by GSC finally arrived after some delays in the past months, although, the delay was actually good for me since I had a lot expenses when I moved to a new place.

The box has interesting corners and I don’t see the point of making them flattened.

Checked my hobby search preorder and of course Fate got delayed…..again. I was expecting Nanoha would be delayed but I guess there are too many Fate fans out there so Alter can’t keep up with the pre-order.

The shipping cost for this Saber Lily is a friggin 5,400 yen. I realized it’s 1/7 but the shipping charge is unreasonable and I don’t see why Hobby Search felt the need put int a big box -_-;;. Gosh $50 just for the shipping alone and it’s more than half the price of Saber Lily. If you guys ordered from Hobby Search, please let me know what the shipping cost was >.> especially if you live in Canada.

Preorder: Nendoroid Saber Lily by GSC

Another preorder of Saber Lily and this time is the nendo version. It’s due for release on October 2009. Since I already have Alter Nanoha and Alter Saber Lily from my recent preorder, I had to cancel my Miku “World is Mine”, otherwise, I will go over the limit of 1 figure / month and I know there will be at least pre-order in December 2009 so I would like to keep that month empty. Cancelling Miku saves me about 3,000 yen which is a good thing ^^.

Excalibur, Avalon and Caliburn with its scabbard are all included as separate weapons so there will be a lot of possibilities for poses ^^.

Since nendoroid is generally small, I usually carry it around like what I did with my Saber Lion Nendoroid. Whenever I go to a park or any other places, I always bring her along. Do you have any figures/figmas/nendos that you usually carry with you in your bag ? Danny always carry at least one with him every time I see his photos.

With the great success of Saber Lily, it comes down to one question for all Saber fans (and non-fans). Do you think Saber Lily should be the original Saber instead of her current blue armor ? Do you like Saber Lily version more than the original one ? For me, the white clothing fits perfectly with her silver/shiny armor in comparison to blue clothing + silver amor.

Preorder: Saber Lily and Nanoha by Alter

It’s been a while since my last pre-order post: Miku World is Mine but now there are 2 great figures being released on October by Alter. One is Saber Lily 1/8 and the other is Nanoha Takamachi 1/7. Being manufactured by Alter, they both are quite pricey especially Nanoha but of course, sometimes price is no longer an issue for us figure collectors when it’s from our favourite series. Make use of your credit card people ^^ and have fun paying it on the next month ^^;;. More pictures below via Hobby Search.

Saber Lily

I think it’s too early to say which one is the better Saber Lily, GSC or Alter until I receive both on my hands. Based on the pictures alone, my preference is slightly leaning towards the GSC version. In term of details, they both are on par with each other, however, GSC version has Distant Avalon noble Phantasm which adds an extra value for purchasing it. In addition, GSC version base has more details than Alter’s plain base. I believe both are still worth buying though. Do you preorder GSC version , Alter version or both ?

Takamichi Nanoha Exceed Mode

Just couple months ago, we were amazed by Fate T Harlaown True sonic form by Alter and now, Alter introduces Takamichi Nanoha Exceed Mode ver.. Those 4 little things on the side look great and the wings on her feet are also awesome, however, all great figures come with a price and this one is no exception. Hobby Search is selling her for 12,160 Yen and she will be released on the same month as Saber Lily. Do you pre-order both Saber Lily and Nanoha ? I know I will be broke on October since I pre-ordered both >.>

I got nothing coming in May and June since Saber Lily -Distant Avalon- got delayed to end of August 2009 so I should not pre-order anything until December 2009. A question suddenly pops in my head for my fellow readers and lurkers. How many figures do you get per month in average and do you limit yourself on how many figures you can buy in a month ? Don’t forget to include impulse buying on your answers ;p

Yep, I am such a Saber fanboy and guess what I just did ? you guys probably figured it all out from the post title. I pre-ordered Fate/Unlimited Codes that comes with Saber Lily Figma from Play-Asia. It cost me $99 + shipping and it all comes to $115.93.

Am I insane ? It’s your call >.>
