FFXI Drama

Being in a HNM LS, one can never really evade/avoid this thing called ‘Drama’. An HNM leader(s) can basically come up with any friggin rules that he/she/they wants and there are still going to be a group of people that’s unsatisfied and claims that they are being treat unfairly.

In general, people want items and MOARRRRR items and greedy by nature including me of course. We always want more and more in everything including Real Life not just FFXI. If I can get MOAARRRR items without attending events or attending less items, I probably do it lol. I know it’s sad but that’s the truth. Luckily so far, I never really got caught into some big drama or some sort. I got some items which I think I earned it based on my attendance and of course there are probably people who don’t think so. Who knows , right ?. One thing for sure, I surely earned my RDM AF2 Hat with my attendance , however, since I got my AF2 hat, my attendance is getting worse just because I am lazy and I have nothing to look forward to XD. RDM AF2 is probably the pinnacle of my Dynamis career. It was not easy to get 5/5 on RDM AF2 and it’s surely a long road. Not to mention RDM AF2 hat is a rare drop in Dynamix-Xarcabard.

I am not fond of drama especially when I am part of it but for some weird reasons, I enjoy reading drama thread or emo live journal like what Cyrinah, my former HNM LS leader, posted in her journal. I have nothing against her or anything but I was just surprised when AJFA was disbanded and barely any clue of what was going on since at that time, my parents were here and I had not attended any events except dynamis.

Anyways, it’s all in the past, there is no point discussing it anymore .

JA: Sekkanoki

I got more info about Sekkanoki. It’s a level 60 Job Ability like I originally thought as there is no way in hell it’s going to be under lvl 38 JA and it has a 5-min recast timer. An interesting info was found in allakhazam and blue gartr forum. Hagun does not work with Sekkanoki. Millich from allakhazam did some testings yesterday and he found out that Sekkanoki uses the ftps of 100%ws so in this case , Hagun TP bonus does not apply.

I double-checked his testing with blue gartr forum and confirmed the validity.

I am not sure if this is a bug or not but imho, it’s pretty stupid if it does not work with Hagun or any latent effects.

FFXI Update Mar. 11, 2008

New updates that we all have been looking forward to are finally here. List of full updates is at POL website. This update focuses on the latest expansion: Wing of the Goddess. A lot of new areas and Dancer(DNC) + Scholar(SCH) updates are added. They finally added AF gears for DNC and SCH. I could careless with SCH as I didn’t even unlock the job yet. My DNC is currently level 20 so the new updates should get me started again on DNC .

As I suspected, they nerf /DNC curing waltz as it was little bit overpowered. I found the formula from BG forum.

Old was [yourCHR+targetVIT]/2+130 for Waltz 2
New appears to be: [yourCHR+targetVIT]/4+130

The real good news about this update is the new JA for SAM: “Sekkanoki”. What it does is limit the next ws to cost 100%tp. It’s like a mini Meikyo Shisui and with this, 2x Solo Light is possible:

Store TP to 200% and use Sekkanoki then go Yuki -> Gekko -> Meikyo Shisui -> Kasha -> Meditate -> Yuki -> Gekko -> Kasha. Moreover, Solo SC is really easy without using a Soboro and the change on SC resistance will add more to SAM’s DoT in merit pt or HNM events ( I think ).

Rumour has it that the new JA is for lvl 38++ ie can’t use it as a sub which makes sense because everyone can do solo SC -_- which somewhat takes away what SAM is good at originally XD.
