Azunyan Nakano gallery sums up my K-ON! gallery series. I don’t think the other K-ON! girls are worthy enough to have their own galleries unless someone manages to convince me otherwise ^^. Azunyan may not have as many fans as Yuri or Mio but considering her appearance late in the series, she has quite number of fans. I mean who does not like nekomimi anyways ^^. This post may NSFW so proceed with caution and I am not responsible for anything if you are viewing this at work. Grab your co workers with you so you won’t be the only culprit ;p.

I haven’t watched K-ON 12 and 13 yet but for those who did, how do you like the ending ? is it worthy a second season ?

I noticed quite a few people saying K-ON! is similar to Haruhi (minus the music part). I haven’t watched Haruhi series up until now (I fail I know) so is it really similar ?

The biggest attraction from K-ON! that really gets me watching the series is the music theme. Most anime series that relate to music usually have great OPs and EDs, for example, Beck and Full Moon Wo Sagashite are just a few to name among others. Another great bonus is that K-ON! is one of few series that my gf and I enjoy watching it together. She likes Yui’s character the most since she can relate to XD. I probably receive a smack or two if she is reading this lol. Does your bf/gf (if you have one) enjoy watching anime ? Do both of you have a similar taste/genre of anime ?

Preorder: Nendoroid Saber Lily by GSC

Another preorder of Saber Lily and this time is the nendo version. It’s due for release on October 2009. Since I already have Alter Nanoha and Alter Saber Lily from my recent preorder, I had to cancel my Miku “World is Mine”, otherwise, I will go over the limit of 1 figure / month and I know there will be at least pre-order in December 2009 so I would like to keep that month empty. Cancelling Miku saves me about 3,000 yen which is a good thing ^^.

Excalibur, Avalon and Caliburn with its scabbard are all included as separate weapons so there will be a lot of possibilities for poses ^^.

Since nendoroid is generally small, I usually carry it around like what I did with my Saber Lion Nendoroid. Whenever I go to a park or any other places, I always bring her along. Do you have any figures/figmas/nendos that you usually carry with you in your bag ? Danny always carry at least one with him every time I see his photos.

With the great success of Saber Lily, it comes down to one question for all Saber fans (and non-fans). Do you think Saber Lily should be the original Saber instead of her current blue armor ? Do you like Saber Lily version more than the original one ? For me, the white clothing fits perfectly with her silver/shiny armor in comparison to blue clothing + silver amor.

All About Toronto, Eh? Part 1

Inspired by Danny Choo and his Tokyo Photo Walk series , I have decided to start my own series. There is no specific day/week/month to post unfortunately because I don’t want to burden myself and make blogging in to a work. As for title, I chose Toronto since it is the city where I currently live in and as for the ‘Eh’ part, it’s a trademark for Canadians to end their sentence with ‘Eh’ (not everyone speaks like though). More info can be found on Wikipedia. For first post in this series, it includes photos from recent visit to High Park and some bits and pieces about myself.

For those who live in countries with 4 seasons, summer is one of the season that we all really look forward to ( If you look forward to winter, please do tell us why ^^). It is the case for me as someone who has been living in Canada for almost 9 years and it will be 9 years exactly on July 28th. Time sure does fly, doesn’t it ?. Whenever I have a chance, I always try to go outside and enjoy as many outdoor activities as I can. At the same time, I try avoid just sitting at home in front of my computer all day (it happened a lot when I was playing FFXI hardcore). It is not that I don’t like, in fact, I love it. I mean who does not like sitting in front of their computer watching anime while enjoying cold/warm beverages depending on the season.

Many events/festivals are being held in Toronto during summer and it is a way for us to enjoy the sunshine and meeting other people. In case, you have not noticed I have a new category called Toronto as my way to show about the city I live in. Most of my readers/lurkers probably expect something more japan-related but unfortunately, I don’t live there ^^;; nor I am planning to live there. I think my heart is set to live in Canada since I stepped my foot at Vancouver International Airport 9 years ago.

Paid another visit to High Park for the second time after my first one. Clearly one visit is not enough to explore the whole park. It makes me wonder which one is bigger? Stanley Park in Vancouver or High Park ?. In High Park, there is a designate area where you can let your dogs off-leash and the area is marked with yellow colour in the above picture.

I found this unique car on my way to the picnic area. The sun flower matches with the summer season. For those who drive, do you decorate the body of your car with anime characters ? I have been wanting to do it after seeing Danny’s post about itasha but at the same time, I worry that someone will vandalize my car ^^;;;. It’s going to cost around $200 depending on the details.

Plenty of parking spaces are available in High Park if you drive, although, I would not recommend because you will be missing out the view. If you have a bicycle, you can take your bicycle with you riding the subway and get off on High Park subway station.

Further deep inside the park, there is a small zoo where you can find various animals (probably around 10-15 animals).

A male peacock shows off its feathers trying to attract the female one.

It is quite amazing that that I found new things in this park. We have a kangaroo in Canada ^^.

“What are you looking at?”. The mountain goat and I were having a starring contest. I wish I have a better lens than 18-55mm for zooming in.

The smell is awesome near the bison btw ^^. It was a sarcasm in case anyone missed it. Does anyone ever try a bison meat ? heard that they are pretty good and healthier than beef.

This is my first time seeing a Llama. They don’t look like an intelligent animal.

I couldn’t recall what this animal is called. It looks like a mix between beaver and mouse. Do you have any animals or plants that represent or becomes a symbol of your country?

If you are tired after walking around the park, you can take a train for $2/person ^^;;

Seeing a view like above makes me feel that I am not in the middle of a city.

Inside the park, there are many small paths here and there so if you feel little bit more adventurous , small paths will give you better view in my opinion.

K-ON! Ritsu Tainaka Gallery

Without even realizing it, it becomes a ritual/habit for me to post a gallery on every Monday to start my week and hopefully, it will keep going as long as I can ^^. Following up from my K-ON girls gallery , we start another great week with some images from Ritsu Tainaka. Hopefully, this gallery can boost her polling count ^^. A quick question for fellow bloggers, do you post certain posts on a particular day of week ? or do you just post randomly whenever you feel like it. Aside from my Monday gallery post, I have my monthly post of Claymore manga chapters. So far I am enjoying the weekly/monthly post routine but things may change in the future.

I think it’s a good thing if you plan out your blogging on weekly basis and have something that your readers look forward to every weekly, on the other hand, it can also backfire at you because when you start to feel that blogging is like a work and you would not be able to enjoy it.

Preorder: Saber Lily and Nanoha by Alter

It’s been a while since my last pre-order post: Miku World is Mine but now there are 2 great figures being released on October by Alter. One is Saber Lily 1/8 and the other is Nanoha Takamachi 1/7. Being manufactured by Alter, they both are quite pricey especially Nanoha but of course, sometimes price is no longer an issue for us figure collectors when it’s from our favourite series. Make use of your credit card people ^^ and have fun paying it on the next month ^^;;. More pictures below via Hobby Search.

Saber Lily

I think it’s too early to say which one is the better Saber Lily, GSC or Alter until I receive both on my hands. Based on the pictures alone, my preference is slightly leaning towards the GSC version. In term of details, they both are on par with each other, however, GSC version has Distant Avalon noble Phantasm which adds an extra value for purchasing it. In addition, GSC version base has more details than Alter’s plain base. I believe both are still worth buying though. Do you preorder GSC version , Alter version or both ?

Takamichi Nanoha Exceed Mode

Just couple months ago, we were amazed by Fate T Harlaown True sonic form by Alter and now, Alter introduces Takamichi Nanoha Exceed Mode ver.. Those 4 little things on the side look great and the wings on her feet are also awesome, however, all great figures come with a price and this one is no exception. Hobby Search is selling her for 12,160 Yen and she will be released on the same month as Saber Lily. Do you pre-order both Saber Lily and Nanoha ? I know I will be broke on October since I pre-ordered both >.>

I barely met my restriction for only 1 figure per month average. I got nothing coming in May and June since Saber Lily -Distant Avalon- got delayed to end of August 2009 so I should not pre-order anything until December 2009. A question suddenly pops in my head for my fellow readers and lurkers. How many figures do you get per month in average and do you limit yourself on how many figures you can buy in a month ? Don’t forget to include impulse buying on your answers ;p
