It's designed along the lines of a George Romero movie. The heroes are fighting for their lives (and even their souls for that matter). And with this new development of the US Military launching their nuclear missiles from their submarines (Code: 666D) it will be very interesting to see what countries get taken out. The dead will still walk but glowing with radioactivity. And the radiation will kill the majority of survivors, ironically adding to the amount of living dead. Some areas will even be completely destroyed with the massive megatons of the nuclear warheads. Will our teenage survivors continue to survive or will they become one of the ranks of the living dead. It's sad that the series is almost over, just as the teens find their true selves in the fighting and blood-letting they have accomplished. I hope there's a second year, but, I'm afraid that they will all end in the nuclear fires of Hell, as will the rest of the country. Here's hoping for good luck and a second season. You already have the zombie hoarde scenes so you can't use them too many times. You have to make it look semi-plausible that the teens will survive to the next episode. The HUMVEE was a great episode saver and got the teens to the other side of the river. I take it that the female island airport Sniper and the high school doctor/nurse are lovers based on the clues they've both dropped. The question is, of the two teens still stranded on the other side of the zombie blockade wire, which one did Rei just blurt her feelings out to. I guess we'll find out next episode and two other important things. Will the use of nuclear missiles be used and which of the teens will be killed soon. The way the suspense and lack of understanding of their final outcomes will be the downfall of one or more soon. Great anime series. Too bad it hadn't come out sooner. Then we'd all have it on DVD/Blu-Ray. Looking forward to the final episodes and if the ending is strong enough, maybe a second set of episodes of HIGH SCHOOL OF THE DEAD. A nice break between watching this and the film I'm working on. Madhouse does it again.Ciao everyone. One of the reasons I enjoy zombie movies is the adrenaline rush that I will experience while watching. I just love the feeling that makes me wanting to jump off from my chair when the protagonists suddenly are ambushed by zombies. Unfortunately, in this series, the panty shots totally ruin it :(.
