@Orcinus: They do jack up the prices of anime goods but if you look into anime figures in particular, they don’t really jack up the price a lot if I calculate the figure itself + shipping + border fee.

However, for other merchandise, I do agree that it’s too pricey since they all made in China ^^;;. 1000% mark up price I bet lol

Chinatown was a great place to hit during the summer. Of course, you realize how much they jack up prices of anime goods and then you don't go to those places anymore but for the food and other things. .-= Orcinus´s last blog ..Glorious Halloween Remi =-.

@litokid: We may have less volume of passenger but during rush hour, the volume can be considerably a lot in my opinion. I know I had to squish myself in the morning especially if you are trying to get in at Bloor subway

The forward/backward facing seats provide more seating room. If you replace the current forward/backward facing seats right now with ones parallel to the wall, you’d get two seats instead of four.

This would be very inefficient in, say, Tokyo or Hong Kong, since you’d get maybe four or five people standing where the two extra seats are. But here in Toronto where the traffic/passenger volume is much, much lower it makes perfect sense. xP

And yeah, the seats have been there for years upon years. They’re *old*. ^^; I do like them though, for some reason. They’re more comfortable than the hard metal ones you get on more “modern” public transit.

Yah, beats me on the reasoning behind forward/backward facing seats. I know I can compile a list of complaints about ttc but it’s a love-hate relationship because Toronto needs ttc.

Were you thinking about Mahō Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora ?
