@Skye: I agree with you that cons always have this friendly atmosphere and I always said to my non con-goer friends that people at anime con are probably one of the nicest / friendliest people world. I know that it's not all of them, majority of them are nice and friendly in my opinion.

I did hang-out around the area that you were talking about which was near the stairs. Even though they are not many cosplayers but the quality is above average in my opinion.

Now, I'm a fairly young female (14, going on 15 soon) so my opinion may be off because of that but I think anyone who wears heels at AX and plan on walking must be super women or something. Reading the comments, I guess its not a big deal for women who are used to heels but still the thought it still crazy to me. I've always worn flats to AX simply because I'm to lazy to put tennis shoes on and I wear flats everyone outside, unless tennis shoes are needed. My friends who I go with (the females at least) all wore tennis shoes also but again we are pretty young. (One 13 year old, another 14 and the last was 16, I think.) I assume most of the girls who go to AX do wear flats or shoes of that sort.

About the convention line, well I always go with friends so I can't say. I'm sure if I ever did go alone and saw someone I could start talking about something with, I would. Cons always have that friendly and loving vibe, so I wouldn't hesitate to talk to anyone.

I didn't know the exbition closed at 6. Thats good to know for the future though.

Strange about Arnold's note in the guide, I didn't care much about it. Of course, I'm glad hes alright with it but I wouldn't care if it was there or not, but I guess thats just because I live in LA. Maybe its more of a reasuration that he doesn't mind it to non-Californians? *Shrugs*

Sucks you didn't get to see many cosplays. I went the third day and I have to agree there weren't many cosplayers in line. I think thats so they won't get all sweaty in their cosplays since we are waiting out in the famous LA heat. I remeber seeing some last year when the line was indoors though.

Hmm you should of hanged around the area where the stairs are the leads to the exbition room. *Can't recall the offical name* Once the hug line dies down to get into the room, thats where a lot of cosplays and pictures take place. At least whenever I go *Which are the third day, Saturday* thats where I always seen the most.

Oh yes, I always love the fact that AX gives you the option of a nickname. So fun~

@Toast: That's interesting that high heels are more comfortable than sneakers because most of my friends that are girls usually prefer non-high heels ^^;;.

Thx and yes, AX was a blast this year. Hopefully I can go again next year.
