A beautiful and elegant figure of Ryogi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai series is presented by Good Smile Company. Once again , they never fail to impress me. The first time, I saw this figure at Dannychoo , was a love at the first sight. The details on her kimono are just amazing and not to mention the flowers decoration on all over her kimono. I guess the pictures will speak for themselves about how amazing this figure is.

The last couple photos, I used a white vellum paper as a background and interestingly, it gave pink colour background/reflection from her kimono.

The details on her outfit are far out.
Camera’s color shift all the time and paper isn’t usually pure white, so if you want to avoid a cast custom balance for the paper. I generally don’t though, as I like somewhat of a color cast than true neutral.

It was so overpriced in HK. I think it was a new release and they could make whatever price they wanted.
I haven’t checked out the series yet but I heard it was EPIC. ^^

Nice photos but some are a bit overexposed? I passed Shiki coz she’s kinda scary!

Here’s a tip….don’t put her too close to the background…
Don’t let the light hit the figure…aside from your flash…
The reason why the color is reflect is either you don’t have enough lamps or your figure is too close to the background…
Either way, nice job on the shoot!!!!

@ Optic:
Figures (and figma) in Hong Kong will be overpriced if there’s no official distribution for that particular item. As a result the ones in the shops are usually from people who have bought them in Japan and ships them to Hong Kong privately.
Shiki does have a really light colour scheme, making photoshoots not easily done. Meronpan seemed to have the same problem too. Really like the details on the kimono though~
@super Rats: I am not sure I understand your comment ^^;;. Would you mind explaining it ?
@yumyu: Saber Lion is just too cute to pass
:D:D
@Optic: You haven’t watched the series yet ? stop blogging and go watch it now lol.
@Divini Fang: yah, I am really having a hard time with white background and Shiki has a light colour :S.
@Rin: I think I put it too close to the background and I don’t use flash. Do you use flash ?
@Q: yep T.T. I went through a lot of shots but still couldn’t get it right.
Shes a real beauty! I really like her Kimono and girls with weapons are always a plus.
Cant really tell whats wrong with the lighting but i guess once you play around with it some more itll work out excellent
