Another Otaku’s blog about Anime, Figures, Games and Various Events

I purchased this figure from AnimeXtreme booth at Anime North 2008 for $40 and it’s a good deal considering it will cost ~$60 at Hobby Link Japan. This figure was released back by Kotobukiya in November 2006 so it’s an old figure, hence, the price was considerably cheap ^^.
As expected from Kotobukiya, they produce high quality figures and I have no complaints what so ever with this figure especially at $40 unlike my previous one.The base is decent and they made a look-alike sand on the beach. Not much details on this figure except on the frilled bikini and nothing can be cast-off.

I took Ron’s advice about the settings on my camera. I used f/11 on my Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens and quite satisfied with the result except the background. Using white background is really tough to master andĀ despite of using 3 lamps, I still got yellow-orange ish near the edge on some of the photos :(. I am thinking of redoing this one using a black background since it will be a perfect match with her bikini and may come with better results.
This figure is highly recommended for Tamaki-nee’s fans which I am sure there are a lot of them out there ^^.

I like the base and the black two-piece but the eyes are a bit plain. T_T
Not into To Heart figures because I never got into the series in the first place.
Hmmm… a black bg. Wouldn’t that make the two-piece transparent?
Optics last blog post..Just another Goodie box
she is not attached to the base via peg right? why not take her to the beach for a photoshoot. will be awesome. ^^;

@Optic: I am not in to To Heart series either but I saw this at anime convention and it looks nice so I bought it ^^;;.
@gordon: No she isn’t. Never done anything aside from plain colour background so I will give it a try this weekend or next weekend. Thx for the suggestion.
Toss cookies for you.
I’m losing blood T_T…
Nice figurine.
What’s your blood type ? I may be able to give you some blood transfusion. Mine is B ^^;;.

hehe.. hmm maybe a darker background will be better?
I’m no pro in this field but the first photo is just a little too bright for me. Maybe its just me, my LCD.
hehe I like the sideview
@Anonymous Coward: I am sorry that your comment got caught in the spam filter. Not sure why but I will double check later. It never happened before since you have some comments posted here before.
I always appreciate any comments to improve my photoshoots because I am no pro in this field either lol. Planning to take this figure to a beach this weekend or next weekend to do photoshoots ^^
