Anyone is getting the new 3G iphone ? It’s coming on July 11th in 22 countries where Canada is one of them. Very exciting news for those who live in Canada since we (or I) have been longing for iPhone for so long since the US releases and we have to buy the jailbreak version which was going for $400 to $600

The new 8G version is only $199 with 2 or 3 years contract which is pretty reasonable / cheap for a new phone. I probably am going to sign up with rogers and ditch my fido >.> if the data plan is really good. Full story can be read at endgadget and check out Rogers’ main page banner for those who live in Canada.

Is iPhone in your buy list ? it sure is on mine ^^.

    I’ve never been interested in keeping up to date with the latest technolgies. So, I doubt I’ll be getting this one. I’m a retro dude.

    … Now I sound really old.

    Honestly,I can’t keep up with latest technologies these days. It seems that a lot of new stuff are just popping out here and there.

    Aside from anime and otaku related stuff, I am also interested in latest tech. and stuff so it’s just like another hobby ^^

    I might get it…
    even though I own one already. I could really use a 3G phone when I go to Japan…

    It’s a nice little gadget, ain’t it? Too bad I’m flat broke, haha (not to mention I have like no friends irl lol).

    All jokes aside though, I currently don’t own a mobile phone because I have no use it for, but I do foresee myself needing one in the future.

    It’s nice how mobile phones have evolved from single-function chunky bricks to versatility-up-the-ass which fits in your pocket; the features completely overshadow the practical use of the communication device itself (not that it’s a bad thing)!

    TECHNOLOGY IS MANKIND. Embrace it, my friend!

    @Epsy: lol I will be your friend ^^. iPhone is a nice ‘all in one’ mobile phone but the bluetooth needs some improvement. It would be nice if I can use my headset to listen to music. No wires FTW ^^

    that’s sad. countries like Mali or Niger getting iPhones officially, but not Malaysia. Guess I’m gonna stick to buying LG’s Viewty then. T.T

    @soonkiong: It will eventually ^^

    Honestly, it’s going to be hard for iphone to break into Asia-Pacific market since Nokia dominates more than 50% but we’ll see I guess.

    In term of functionalities, there are a lot of better cellphones out there and the selling points for iPhone are the sleek design, OS , ipod replacement and multi-touch screen.
