I finally updated to to the latest wordpress from 2.3.3 to 2.5.1 .The update went smoothly and I hope nothing weird is going to happen (keeping my finger crossed XD). All my plugins are working just fine and so does my template.
The whole process took 3-4 hours due to a lot back up that needs to be done before hand and I have a lot of images which I need to copy from the hosting to my local. I followed the upgrade instruction thoroughly from wordpress.org as I don’t want to screw anything up.
The new interface on the admin section is nice and also the ability to upload multiple images at once, however, when I tried it, it cut some part of image instead of resize so I had to use flexible-upload plugin.

It happens. I use Wordpress 2.5. The image interface is okay but yea, it does cut out the picture instead of resizing it. The image itself is fine. Still, they could work out some bugs…
Also congrates on updating your wordpress. Must had been hell backing up your files…
Thx. I was reading wordpress forum and a lot of people are having problems with image upload.
Backing up the images were such a pain but other files were easy to backup.
I’m also using the new wordpress for my African safari and Africa vacation blog i think its looks great although when it comes to uploading pictures on version 2.5.1 i haven’t been able to yet. I wish i didn’t upgrade from 2.3.3
@African Safari: It seems wordpress caught your comment as a spam since your ip address comes from Kenya, Africa so I am sorry about that ^^ since your comment looks legit.
I haven’t had any issues (yet) with uploading pictures since I use an additional plugin called flexible-upload ( http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/flexible-upload.zip ) for additional functionality.
If I may know, where are you having problem with the upload image feature ? I am no expert but maybe I can help ^^ so feel free to ask. If your problem is something to with image-resizing, download the plugin that I mentioned above. I know 2.5.1 cuts your image instead of resizing it.
