Vancouver is as beauty as ever since my last visit here which was about 2 years ago. Not much changes around Vancouver Airport… well… not that I noticed of at least. Since it’s an international airport, it’s always busy.

Jet lag + Soccer Euro 2008 = no sleep for me. I only slept for 2 - 3 hours and yeah, I know it’s not good but I didn’t want to miss the euro 2008 matches between Netherland and Rusia. Oh and guess what ? none of the local tv stations show the match. Awesome I said to myself and I was stucked with streaming sites; better than nothing I guess.

Sorry for the lack of post lately as I’ve been busy with packing and just arrived at Jakarta 2 days ago. Instead of the usual anime/figure posts, I thought I would post about my trip to back home.

It’s been more less 4 years since the last time I went back home to Jakarta, Indonesia. In all honesty, I don’t miss living in Jakarta after spending 8 years in Canada ^^. The only thing that I miss is my family and the food basically.

Anyone had a long flight before ? I was definitely not looking forward to to 24 hours flight including 3 hours transit time in Hongkong. It’s bad and jet lag pwned me basically afterward.

After seeing bunch of members at dannychoo.com posting about their rooms, it inspires/urges me to post my room. Unlike other most Otaku rooms, my room looks pretty normal(not otaku enough) compare to other otakus’ rooms like Rin’s or James’.

I always hold back on buying new stuff for my room as I don’t have my own place and am renting a room on a basement of a house.

Anyone is getting the new 3G iphone ? It’s coming on July 11th in 22 countries where Canada is one of them. Very exciting news for those who live in Canada since we (or I) have been longing for iPhone for so long since the US releases and we have to buy the jailbreak version which was going for $400 to $600

The new 8G version is only $199 with 2 or 3 years contract which is pretty reasonable / cheap for a new phone. I probably am going to sign up with rogers and ditch my fido >.> if the data plan is really good. Ignorance is bliss you may say but I wish I noticed sooner about this game and not like, a year after the US release. I know it’s sad ^^;; and kinda embarrassing. I spent 15 hours this past weekend playing this game ^^;; and I have to say it’s kinda addictive with all the battle system, synthesizing (grathmeld) and cosmosphere. I managed to finish Phase 1 and currently working on Phase 2 with Aurica path and currently on lvl 9 cosmosphere :D.

RPG mixed with dating sim is always enjoyable for me like for example, Thousand Arms back in PS one or Persona 3 (too bad I got bored with this after a while for some reasons). The old style of turn based rpg system never gets old on me ^^ and I still enjoy it up to this day, although, more and more rpgs are made with non- turn based.

Any similar PS2 games that you guys can recommend to me ?

Anyone likes soccer or football ? Well, Euro 2008 is starting tomorrow and the first match will be Switzerland and Czech Republic @12 noon EDT. In case anyone is wondering why I talk about soccer all sudden is because I love soccer probably as much as I love Anime or computer hardware. And yes, I have multiple hobbies -_-;; which all of them are bad for my pocket.

Anyways, I think a big event like Euro 2008 is worth a post in my blog , although, I do wish I have a separate blog to talk about soccer only but at the same time, 2 blogs would be too much time consuming for me.

Finally, after waiting for more than 2 months, I finally got my Saber Alter figure. It was supposed to be released back in March 2008 but it got delayed until mid May 2008 ^^;;. This easily becomes my favorite figure among others ^^.

This figure caught my eyes while I was wondering around in the dealer room at Anime North 2008. I thought it is just an original work by Solid Theater just like Banana is a snack? figure, it turned out that she is Kaede Tsukimiya, a character from Miraroma eroge. Danny mentioned about this eroge last month.
